Partially space saving, the new sets take up about a third of the old set. Also the new set does not say "TokyoPop" on the cover.  The series is old enough that if the original film is available it could be upgraded to Bluray. The powers that be probably decided it wasn't worth it.
It is a real fun story. It has some of the wildest family dynamics I've ever seen. Not to mention a side story student teacher relationship all in the guise of a light romantic comedy. |

Ordered manga from B&N website Monday (Buy 2, Get 1 free on participating titles & free standard shipping on orders over $25 USD):

Vol. 1 To Love-Ru, Vol. 1-2 To Love-Ru Darkness, Vol. 1 Annoying thing is, apparently, not all volumes were in stock in the same warehouse, as they shipped 2 books from one warehouse, 5 from a 2nd and one from a third one. The 1st box with the two To Love-Ru books arrived yesterday. The 2nd box, with just one book (Shomin Sample 7) arrived today, and the remaining 5 books should be here tomorrow. Annoying they didn't all come together, but whatever. My biggest surprise was that neither To Love-Ru book, especially Darkness, was shrink-wrapped. Given how To Love-Ru is rather ecchi, and Darkness is borderline hentai & got the Mature rating, I really expected it to be wrapped. |

Curse you, comic shop! I spent so damn much money there last weekend and then this weekend, they appear to have gotten all the damn Viz in!
7th Garden 7 Assassination Classroom 19 Astra Lost in Space 1 Blue Exorcist 18 Children of the Whales 2 Fire Punch 1 The Girl from the Other Side 3 Graineliers 1 Kuroko's Basketball 17/18 The Promised Neverland 1 Queen's Quality 2 Re Zero novel 5 Re Zero EX novel 1 Twinkle Stars 4 The Water Dragon's Bride 4 Yona of the Dawn 9 And, as you can see, I started like, 4 new series or something ridiculous (not counting that Re:Zero Ex as a "new" series, but a spinoff and therefore the same series). Looking forward to a lot of them, though! And we're almost done with two series, 2 books left for Assassination Classroom and 1 left for Twinkle Stars (though it's an omnibus). |
