I honestly don't know how they can improve. Maybe spoiler[have it done in slow motion with extreme close ups, and the camera flying everywhere SHAFT style]? |

I think that probably throughout of episode 10, my favourite scenes were when Thor was spoiler[ playing his ' various ' roles. ]

Just when I thought that I couldn't love this show more, this episode happens. That was hilarious. Poor Hades though. No one even noticed that he was there

Yeah, that was a sad episode. Does a wall slam count if there's no person against it?
About the mistletoe as it relates to episode 11. If you're raising a brow at spoiler[the knife supposedly made of mistletoe giving off metallic sound effects,] they could have just done that for effect, like Thoth's wall slams, or they could be going with actual mythology. spoiler[As the Danes tell it in the Gesta Danorum, Höðr kills Baldr with a sword named Mistilteinn, which is the Old Norse word for mistletoe. Since this sword appears elsewhere in Norse mythologies, I presume it's made of metal rather than wood.] So did everyone spoiler[graduate] then? I expect to see some swooping in the next episode.

Episode 11
I don'tspoiler[ buy Balder being dead, he has to be the final boss]. I roll my eyes a little at the emotions, but it was in general a good episode. Them all making fun of Apollo was kind of cute. I hope I never meet an actual Apollo, with his stupid nicknames, I would probably feel mighty tempted to slap him, more annoying than that sun god that acts like a superhero. Just a thought, since Anubis is the god of mummification, then was it likely that Anubis made the mummy toys the other episode instead of Thoth? |

spoiler[Balder's new form is even more beautiful. Shame it's meant only for destruction. It was a really nice treat seeing the gods true forms ^^ Damn, wish they had shown those earlier.. At least this misfortune has brought everyone together. I'm a sucker for a happy end ^^ I so want this anime to have another season! Great final episode.] |

Best wall slam of the series!
No surprises in any of that, but it's so nice to have an actual ending, and I think they tied everything up neatly. But as soon as spoiler[they sent her back, I was expecting a classroom scene where they get two transfers and six exchange students. ] I guess I wasn't too far off on that.
Lol at spoiler[Dionysus attacking with a flood of wine.] I do anticipate a second season. This was a lot more fun that UtaPri, and I hope the sales reflect that. |

Episode 12 (final)
Personally I think it could have done without the action filled finale, but I appreciate the sentiment and it did allow a few things to happen, like that fabulous transformation sequence again. She sure had no faith spoiler[she would see them again, come on they are gods], although it is actually is good seeing spoiler[her show how much she grew attached to them and wanted to continue on a little longer]. Also personal opinion is Hades looked cool. I consider Kamigami no Asobi to be the best otome game anime I have seen, earning it a solid rating of Good from me, it is worth seeing for even people outside of the target audience. The guys did not come across as too cliché of their type/ super bishie, Yui is a good heroine who actually tries to get things she wants and did not always let herself just get dragged with the flow. Actually most of the characters were entertaining, and it made the show genuinely a funny watch. As cheesy as the plot is in understanding the human heart, it seemed that the show kind of new it and played off its own cheesiness and would throw in a few surprises that did not make my eyes roll. Surprisingly for me with this genre, I would totally be up for more, I would not expect a second season because I fear it would suck the fun out and become stale, but an OVA for sure, let it be something like fanservice, body swapping or age shifting, that could work. I do hope that the industry learns from this and actually make more reverse harems like this. |
