I think an interesting next step for Shinkai would be to do visuals for a series (and let someone else make the script; say, Kaoru Mori, for instance; A Bride's Story, perhaps?)
The visuals would not be quite up to par with his film and short releases of course, due to time and budget restrictions, but you know they'd still look amazing. |
