WOW WOW WOW this was so unexpected. I love a lot of her songs. I think I'll listen to some of them again tonight after work. Very sad loss.

Noooooooo!!!
I was not expecting this news! I loved her music in GitS and FFXIII-2!! I remember being so jealous to see that she was in Van last year, too. Wow, this stinks, she did some amazing work... |

She was also the singer for the second ED song of Turn A Gundam, as well as the insert song MOON.

Wow, this is a shock. So tragic to hear. R.I.P., Origa.
The Vancouver Sun posted the first fifteen minutes of her concert at Anime Revolution. You can watch it here if you're interested: http://www.vancouversun.com/news/metro/Video+Origa+live+Anime+Revolution+2014/10148119/story.html |

God, this is awful. Her GITS performances are easily among the greatest anime themes of all time, to the point where I can't even imagine the franchise without her voice starting things off. 44 is way too damn young.

This is very sad news. While I've never had the chance to experience the series but I'm familiar with her through the OP song which is an all time favorite among fans. It's a great song. My condolences go out to her family. She made great accomplishments. R.I.P.

Oh man, this is terrible news
I dont know much of music outside of videogames and anime but I absolutely loved some of the stuff she did for Final Fantasy XIII-2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjFKWmKxKRM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W50atec80dM RIP |

So sorry to hear about Origa passing away so soon. I always enjoyed her singing and her talent to do so well in multiple languages (not always a given outside of operas). She sung in Japanese so well, you probably couldn't tell she wasn't if you knew nothing of her actual ethnicity. Rest in peace.
