I've got to admit,this list is far goofier than others I've seen. Some of the stuff I've seen is pretty bizarre,like maxi pads and the like. I like the fact that there's a record (vinyl) version of the soundtrack out there. It's a shame that there isn't an English language version of it out there. It sounds like a lot of fun.

The vinyl records are simply done as a collectable. There are many record collectors out there, although most because they still have the records hanging around from when they were the way music was distributed. But vinyl records offer the opportunity for pictures in a way that CDs don't. Record collectors know that it's often the cover that can make the record valuable. And one of the fun things about records is looking at and reading the cover while playing the music.
Considering that it's very likely that maxi-pad ads would run during Sailor Moon episodes (YTV in Canada use to air them during anime shows) I can see that they might want to offer Sailor Moon maxi-pads. A large part of the fanbase for this show would be teen girls. |
