The official site calls it simply Mirai right now as well. http://miraimovie.com/ "Mirai of the Future" has a more fun ring of fantasy to it, but the word play of the name Mirai and the word mirai doesn't translate without asking people to look it up (you also don't get the sing-song "Mirai no Mirai") so I could see them having gone either way with it.
Based on the interview ANN did with GKIDS not too long ago and the strength of their last few anime and other animation releases (including Academy Award nominee The Breadwinner, making this seven years of Oscar noms, although no wins yet) -- yes, GKIDS is absolutely in the business of meaning business. Gkids grabbed this quick. They are really revving up their catalog. They have the entire Ghibli library, and now they are trying to acquire new interesting titles quickly. I wish this had made it to this year's NYICFF.

I don’t think so. There will be two separate American and Canadian dubs, just like they did it with Dragon Ball Z. |

^ Dragon Ball Z is literally the only case of that ever happening. With The Boy & the Beast, Mongrel Media had home video rights for Canada, and they just used FUNi's dub...

To be honest, they should've just use a new Canadian dub instead.... |
