The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto)

Uh, the manga has been a nice read so far, but I definitely would have preferred the novel Sad ...

Description: A boy with a bottomless stomach and a lonely widow with room at her dinner table serve up a heaping helping of secret happiness in this delightful foodie rom-com!

A romantic comedy about love between a boy and an adult woman? Honestly, I didn't think that such a plot could be in demand in the West. However, if no one sees problems in licensing a manga about an office NTR-ish romance, then why not?

Yes.

Well, it sounds like basically the same plot as Sweetness and Lightning, but gender-flipped and without the position-of-power issue. That sold well enough where they've released 12 volumes of it in English (and are either caught up with Japan or are 1 volume behind). Obviously someone likes that stuff.

(Also, while the text just says "boy", he's in high school, which is less uncomfortable than if it were someone younger.)

Beauty and the Feast does interest me, but I have to see how it's handled before I decide to get that one. I'm always weary with series where age-gap romance is central to the plot.
