I agree with you & also hope that BAM does not over-extend itself, although it would be nice if they could re-open/buy the stores in San Diego, Ca which were closed. While it would be great to have more bookstores here, I would hate for them to open with a big fanfare, only to close down a short time later. At least the sale of some of the Borders stores gives us a glimmer of hope.

Indeed. It saddens me to no end that there'll be no BAMs/Borders in Illinois but I'll be content that even a few of their stores could be saved at this point.
