Considering that Odd Thomas was the novel that kind of made me stop reading Koontz, I'm not quite sure how to take this. On the one hand, this could expose a whole new audience to "manga" and perhaps some of those people will try some titles that are a little more Japanese in origin. On the other hand, I'm not too thrilled with all these OELs popping up lately.

It's not that I have some sort of prejudice against non-Japanese artists or writers, it's just that the Japanese-made manga tends to entertain me far more. The cultural influences make it better in my opinion.

I'd much rather have seen a manga version of Twilight Eyes. Now that one would rock as a graphic novel (preferablly a multi-volume adaption).

Personally, I would like to see Dark Rivers of the Heart or perhaps Midnight turned into manga. I can picture those stories told with Urasawa's artwork. I could dream on...!

I haven't read much of Koontz' later works - I stopped after those Christopher Snow books - but maybe I'll get a hold of this if I see it.

Those would be nice. Midnight especially. That book was excellent.

Of Koontz's more recent novels, I'd suggest The Taking over Odd Thomas but I have personal issues with the Odd series. (Plus I have a real love of end-of-the-world type stories.)
