Aww seriously?! I am so in love with that series. I even got my mom to read it and she loved it too I guess all I can do is cross my fingers and hope |

I received the official cancellation notice from Right Stuf today for volume 2. I was expecting it, once they quit taking orders for it, but it still makes me kind of sad.

The novels are on hold due to issues with the company that is providing the liscense to Viz or whoever was translating the novels. I really hope they can get these issues worked out this year. The second volume was supposed to originally be released over 9 months ago, and is likely already completely translated. It'd be nice if they have already translated some of the following volumes and did a slightly more rapid set of releases after the issues are worked out, but I find that highly unlikely.

When I type in "Kino's Journey" in Barnes and Noble's site I get nothing. At least not what I'm looking for, but when I type in "Kino No Tabi" I get it in their list. I didn't think the American release of the novel kept its original name.

You are correct, Tokyopop released the novels as "Kino no Tabi".

I bought volume 1. Looking forward to reading it. Strangely, Barnes and Noble still has volume 2 in their search engine.

So does Amazon. I think it does that just to tease us fans |

Okay, this is really wierd. I can't find any information on the book at any store, it's like it didn't exist. People are selling volume 1 for 75.00 :http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Kino-No-Tabi-Volume-1-Book-One-of-the-Beautiful-World/Keiichi-Sigsawa/p/9781598164558
They said it was coming out in Jan., then March, and now nothing. This is kinda scary... did they stop making it or something? No bookstores even have it now... please respond |

Given the licensing issues that prevented them from releasing any more of the series, it seems reasonable to assume the first volume is not coming back in print.

I heard the series will not be continued, and I am a little annoyed that they put out book 1 of a series and then stopped... such teases! it's a great book, so i finally bought the complete collection on DVD. I am happy with it, since it follows the 1st novel well.
but more annoyed that I started a collection that I cannot finish. boo! |

Please elaborate; I assume you only meant the US release. For me I've got 10 volumes and it's ongoing. |
