One of the first animes I saw aside from Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D.

i can also state for teh brutalness of now and then, some of those scenes made me cringe so badly the first time i saw them.

dont get me wrong it is an amazing series but it takes guts to stick with it till the end

Y'know, I don't think there was *one* happy moment in Now and Then, Here and There. Just a torturous series. I was almost relieved when I finished it.

Blood Reign is pretty good, as was this older show I saw called BAOH (mostly gore and fighting).

Heck, even SaiKano was "hard" in its own way. There were just as many gut-punch moments for me during that ride.

Blood Reign? The Curse of the Undead Yoma? 0_o OMG That was the first title that made me realize that anime can indeed suck.That has to be one of the worst animes out there.Along with Wrath of the Ninja.*shudders*

Anyway,as far as Brutal anime goes,Violence Jack and Angel Cop are defintely some of the most,err......"memorable".(VJ being the one I consider the more brutal) But good lord,there's an UNCUT version of Violence Jack!? How can it get any worse? Shocked Man,and here I thought the scene where the guy ate his girlfriends corpse and then became a deformed mutant was bad enough.><

Maybe ANN should do a "Top 25 Most Brutal Scenes in Anime" list or something.I'm sure the "head-popping" scene in GitS would get some votes....

that movie was pretty graphic i thought but Violence Jack takes the cake for anything I've ever seen. *memories NO!!!!*

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT SEE VIOLENCE JACK!I saw it,then had to take two cold showers.After that I washed my eyes.Just a horrible,disgusting ova.And if you see the uncut,I pray for your sanity.
