The staff for the television anime of Maybe's Tales of Wedding Rings (Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari) manga revealed on Friday the second season's promotional video. The video previews both the opening and ending theme songs.
The second season's "uncensored version" will premiere on October 4 on the AT-X channel at 9:30 p.m. JST (8:30 a.m. EDT). The anime will then run on October 4 on the Tokyo MX and BS11 channels at 10:00 p.m. JST, then on Sun TV at 10:30 p.m. JST. The anime will also stream on the ABEMA, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai streaming services in Japan. The anime's "uncensored version" will start streaming on ABEMA and U-NEXT on October 11.
The main staff will return for the second season. Takashi Naoya (Real Girl) is again directing the anime at Staple Entertainment, Deko Akao (After the Rain) is again in charge of series scripts, and Saori Nakashiki (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!) returns to design the characters.
Miyu Tomita joins the cast as Morion.
Sizuk will return to perform the second season's opening theme song "Daybreak," and Hime's voice actor Akari Kitō will perform the ending theme song "any if."
The anime's first season premiered in January 2024. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and is also streaming an English dub.
Yen Press is publishing the manga in English, and it describes the story:
When Satou's best friend, Hime, tells him that she's moving, he decides to follow. After crashing her wedding in another world, he ends up as the groom when she suddenly kisses him! Prophecy states that her husband is destined to be the Ring King-a hero of immense power who will save the world from the Abyssal King! Is Satou up for the challenge, or is his new marriage going to end before it even begins?
The creator duo Maybe launched the manga in Square Enix's Monthly Big Gangan magazine in March 2014. The manga ended in August 2024, and its 15th and final compiled book volume shipped in September 2024. Yen Press will release the 15th volume on October 28. Crunchyroll previously released the manga in English digitally beginning in 2015, until it ended its manga service in December 2023.
