Whoo, filled out the survey! Long, but worth it if it means we'll see Air on Steam in the future. Also because I love Key stuff.

Long survey, but I did it. Anything for more localized Key.

The humour in some questions with references to their titles was cool. I would appreciate bonus points for spelling Kud's full name correctly.

I did mention that in the tip email but I guess they didn't feel it was important/would get attention or something.

Pre-edit Post: There was also a few questions about other VisualArt's ('s) studios like Saga Planets. I'm really glad they're finally asking for user feedback. Hopefully this leads to a faster localization of Summer Pockets.

AIR just got re-mastered in Japan in 2016, for Vita. They could easily port that version to Steam (or use the 2009/2010 PC versions..idk what the differences are).

I'm glad as well, since I love Saga Planets' games.

Some of it felt a bit redundant as a few of the follow-up questions could have easily been inferred from the previous one.

They should also have had a 'None' as alternative to the Music listening question as it's a bit hard to answer for people like me who don't actively listen to music. Finally I just decided to bypass it altogether...

That's an encouraging sign. Kind of like last year when âge (Rumbling Hearts, Muv-Luv series) reached out to international fans with a poll like this, and then posted a summary the results on their corporate blog.

After taking the poll, a few random thoughts:

  • No mention of the English localization of Angel Beats! 1st Beat, which was mentioned in a Q&A at Anime Central almost exactly two years ago, and said to be 50% done at that point? I guess not, huh?
  • I love that they asked about doing a "KSL Live World" concert over here. That's what my question was about when they were at ACen, and they said they'd already been thinking about it.
  • I had to chuckle at the question of "have you read any manga of Visual Art's VNs"… Yeah, guys, you let Seven Seas do exactly one volume of Angel Beats! Heaven's Door before shutting that down. WTF?
  • All the questions about free-to-play browser/mobile games and releasing VNs episodically or by route is kind of showing their hand. But when players are resistant to spend $50 on any title, and yet episodic F2P otome games make $1 million per day, you can't fault them for following the market.

none of the PC releases of Kanon and AIR have voices. They gotta use the consoles ports as the base or else we will just have voiceless versions of them

Fan translations of both had voice patches taken from the console versions, but I also hope any eventual official releases to be based on the console versions so we get it from the get go.
Of course it will also mean we will lose the +18 stuff from the PC releases, but that's a smaller annoyance, particularly for a Key visual novel.
