The gesture is commendable, though what will happen to the flowers once presented? I cannot imagine any guest would have the means to store them. (Supposedly, they could remain in situ for the remainder of the convention, at least.)

It's a nice gesture, but I also wonder what will happen to the message board (if it makes it to that goal) and the flowers afterwards. Still, as far as gift giving to creators go, it's pretty cool!

Ya know what, I have known about her for awhile and love her work, I think I will make her a pen on a lathe for her and give it to her when I go to AX.

With flower stand presents in Japan, the flower stand is always collected by the flower company after the event, unless it's a small potted type. Not exactly sure how it works in the U.S., but I think it can be assumed that the recipient will not be keeping the flowers. They'll probably keep the message board though.
