Sometimes I really dislike Japan...yet another classic gaming IP being held hostage as a crappy Mobile game.

They realise about 85% of gaming fans live outside of Japan, right? And that no gamer outside of the Asian countries gives a flying rootbag about Mobile gaming?

It took around 2 years since the game was first announced for it to come out?

Thinking about it, Arc the Lad 3 had a lot of returning characters from the previous games. It's own new characters were also pretty good. But this new mobile game seems to leave ATL 3 out? I wonder why.

There are 80 million PS4's in the wild and only 6 odd million are in Japan.

There are 40 million Xbox 1's in the wild and less than 1 million are in Japan

There are over 20 million Switches in the wild and 4 million are in Japan

The point is there is a rather large percentage of gamers outside of Japan. Whether 85% is perfectly accurate or not is irrelevant.

So? There's more than 2 billion users of Smartphones. There's 60 million of Smartphones user in japan.

Sure, not all of them play games, but there's potential for an even larger public. It surely won't be the case with Arc the Lad, but there's always the possibility of a game being super popular with the "non-gamer" crowd.
