The developer has really listened to feedback well throughout the process. The whole thing looks very promising.

One of the hurdles it may potentially have is with people's expectations, though, as this article went into detail on: https://agoplus.wordpress.com/2019/04/14/bloodstaineds-challenge-when-history-and-perception-collide/

The look of Mighty No 9 had a big role in reversing the initial positive expectations for it - being the most obvious, consistent marker of "bad" even if you hadn't been keeping up with news on it, beyond poor marketing and without having to play it at all. So I definitely understand being especially aggressive about the graphics on this. They seem to have done a good job getting that across with this trailer.

Only Iga can drop the word "poop" and still make everyone cheer for him.

At last the answer to my long-held question, which is whether I'll end up giving up when it gets too hard. Because I've never played any Castlevania, but I chipped in at the $150 level for waifu-related reasons.

I don't think it'll be that hard. Curse of the Moon was nowhere near as difficult as Dracula's Curse was, and the Symphony of the Night style games have never really been known for their difficulty like the 8-bit games were to begin with.

Amazon is still listing the Switch version release date as December 31. Guess they haven't had time to update it or something.
