Magic Users Club STILL slaps and as someone who never ever watches dubs, that is one I will put on any day of the week, it's excellent.

So Yakitate!! Japan is gonna come with the Animax dub? Or will they make a new one? The former would be easier, I'd admit.

My guess is that ANN just made a mistake & accidentally included Yakitate!! Japan with the "English dub & sub" category. Personally, the more interesting news is with Canary, which is a one-shot OVA that had never been licensed for English release before. This hopefully marks the start of RetroCrush finally offering "Never Before Seen" anime, i.e. titles that had never had any official English translation in the past, which would be outstanding to see happen. |

I added Magic Users' Club to my to-be-watched list when I found out that it shared a lot of the team that did Princess Tutu. It's easy to see in the character designs.
When I watched it, I wasn't expecting Princess Tutu brilliance (and I didn't get it), but it surprised me how good it was. It's definitely worth a watch. |

I'd like to think that it's Sei Juushi Bismarck (which was "Macekred" into Saber Rider and the Star Sherrifs), but I know it's unlikely. As much as I'd like to see "Heidi, Girl of the Alps" (which previously had a dubbed compilation movie, but still), I guess they won't have that, either. I want to say "Smile Pretty Cure", but Crunchyroll is more likely to get that one (alone with Doki Doki Pretty Cure, and all the Pretty Cure shows), so, "Mach Go Go Go" (the original Japanese version of Speed Racer) perhaps?
Really, though, I guess it could be anything... |
