It's a real shame Squeenix has locked him up somewhere in the bowels of the mobile/social game development department. They could really benefit from his more open game designs and outside-the-box thinking right now.

Yeah, no. Dood made Unlimited Saga. If there's a worse RPG on the PS2 that isn't Dragon Quarter, I can't think of it.

Then he made the Crystal Chronicles series and The Last Remnant and everything was redeemed. No game developer has a spotless track record.
Also, Dragon Quarter isn't a bad game. It's just a game you either get... or don't. Not making it part of the BoF series would've probably been a good idea though, to get the mindless fanboys off their backs.
