I love The LeetStreet Boys; Yuri the only one and Guitar Hero are my favorite songs of the bunch, Imaginary Boys is also very subtle and like me, and the others are pretty good too Very Happy

I remember these guys. Years ago, they entered an AMV Contest for Best Humor Video.

The Harrassment of Kyon wrecked them.

It's like they're stuck in 2006 or so with their references. No one cares about Gravitation or Inuyasha anymore. Tamaki, Ed, and the video game characters are all still fairly popular, but not like they used to be. It's like these guys haven't watched anime since the mid-2000's but think they're still being relevant.

Well...those videos were made in around that time zone minus the new one "Imaginary Boys".

I'd never heard of them. But then again I don't get to many anime cons to begin with. I have to admit I did enjoy "Guitar Hero Hero". It kind of brought me back to an earlier time during the late 90's when there were sites dedicated to game music and the composers involved. One known group was the JDK band who produced a myriad of sounds for the company Falcom. Responsible for such games like, Ys, Legend of Heroes and Dragon Slayer. Most of their scores are hard rock rifts. I recognized the reference in the song. Then to combine the imagery with Guitar Hero. Was pretty cool. Now there's an idea the guys at Guitar Hero could get behind. Make a GH that allows players to see if they have the skills for those tunes. Get on this one!

Take a shot of ramune every time they say "like" in a song.
If they say "makes," take two shots! =D

In all seriousness, though, I did like Yuri when it came out at first, but then their songs sorta sounded awkward to me, including Yuri, after a while. I can't tell if they're clever or not. They make way too many comparison lines (hence the "like" joke above), which has their song lyrics sounding somewhat forced. To me, at least...

Whoa, actually I still really like their songs (I'm also glad that ANN has mentioned them) but I can see why it would be awkward 4 some.

They're just using references that N. Americans more easily recognize; otherwise the song would go over people's heads if it's too obscure. Sadly most new titles these days don't stick around N. American consciousness too long. For various reasons they come and go in public consciousness, including being too short, there's 40+ other titles to replace it, not enough time to further build up the fanbase before the next fanbase comes along, there's not enough ongoing base material to sustain it, etc.
