It's a slightly unfair comparison, though. With the exception of Futari wa and 5 (which had a sequel each), each series is a separate story with entirely different characters and (disregarding the crossover movies) a different universe.

Certainly it's impressive, but it's like saying the collected works of O. Henry are longer than the fifth Harry Potter book; it may well be true, but isn't exactly that big a deal in comparison.

Well, it has never been explicitly stated and has been hinted at that all the Precure shows take place in the same universe. HapCha really supports this with the multiple PreCure teams subplot.

Yeah, this is not really comparing apples to apples here.

A more apt comparison would be if precure manages to top the number of episodes of Super Sentai or Kamen rider (and it's not even close to that!)

It is probably the longest animated franchise from Toei Animation though, although the main staff for each season does change...
(Actually if you include Dragonball Kai as separate episodes it still hasn't topped Dragonball.)

What about One Piece? Well over 500 episodes, and still running like Precure.

One Piece has already 651 episodes, even Naruto with both series (normal and Shippuuden) has 586.

Not mention Sazae-san, Detective Conan and others.

508 isn't big deal nowadays.

Oh yeah, that has more eps, doesn't it?

Then I think it's #2 for Toei at this point.

Counting all ther anime adaptations, DB and One Piece are currently the Shounen Jump Series with the most episodes and have has been really good to them to have over 600 episodes each.

Naruto has 600+ episodes as well.

I don't think the person who made this list works at Toei; if this had been conducted in-house I don't see how they would ignore One Piece.
