I think there's a good chance that this Sunken Ship episode will also air on the English version of Pokemon sometime in the future.

Wow, they're actually airing one of the skipped episodes. I'd love to get the rest, though I guess that's not something they're hugely interested in doing. Stupid kids' franchises.

OK, well nice to see the postponed episode is now going to get shown, I understand why it delayed and I don't blame the producers for it.

Too many banned episodes and most for no good reason except the Porygon episode. Even more in the US for pansycore reasons, so a guy pointed a gun at Ash and co. I don't see why that needed to be removed entirely.

Same way they did with that Holiday Jynx and Snow Way Out episodes in season 1...they won't. Wink

It's a shame they can't bring out a "Lost Episodes" DVD of these banned and unaired episodes. The Porygon ep would probably be hard since I believe the Japanese government have banned it, but the other could be doable (And if the James' fake boobs is a problem, maybe make it "intended for the adult collector".). Even if it was just the Whiscash and Team Plasma eps, I'm sure it would sell...

Have episodes 23 and 25 been released on home video in Japan yet? If not, good, let's hope its not too late for this episode to be included on home video internationally.

The fact that a previously unaired episode of Pokémon is going to be airing on television for the first time in Japan would naturally be a surprise to every current and former fan of the anime.

no kidding. and the rocket gang vs the plasma gang arc. sure i can get the earthquake and tsunami thing, but to completely scrap the entire ep? Also i am sure the electric solider porygon shouldnt be a big deal now. i saw that ep on youtube and it sure didn't effect me at the least.probably cause now that technology is up to snuff, there wouldnt be any incidents like that. and the beach ep's reason is even worse. so what that james crossdress. their suppose to be the comedic skits of the series which is why their there for so long so that itself shouldnt be a big deal.

Luckily this one have suffered the same fate. but fans are still peeved over rocket gang vs plasma gang cause too many things left unanswered.

Yes (or rather, on rental DVD, the show doesn't get home releases).

Not really, considering they said it would air at a later date back when they postponed it.

Best Wishes 26 got rewritten and retconned into the current continuity back when that eventually aired. The same will happen with this.



Also, people really need to differentiate between "episodes that got postponed in Japan" and "episodes a dub studio decided not to dub" instead of lumping them all together and call them "banned episodes" as if some institution atually forbade them from airing on TV or something.

yea , but its as i said. i watched the electric solider porygon episode and i didn't get any seizure. so i am sure it wont happen again this time around now that tv have gone digital.
