Niconico Chōkaigi 2018 Event Draws 161,300 in Person, 6.12 Million Online

Niconico Chōkaigi 2018, the convention held by the video service Niconico at the Makuhari Messe complex in Chiba, attracted 161,300 attendees during the April 28-29 weekend. (A person who attends both days is counted twice.) Additionally, 6.12 million people watched the official live streams of the event on the Niconico service.
The number of attendees surpassed last year's 154,600 attendees, and the stream viewing numbers also surpassed last year's 5.06 million. The 2015 event had 7.94 million stream viewers, and the 2016 event had 5.55 million stream viewers.
Next year's event will be held at Makuhari Messe again during the April 27-28 weekend.
