posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Paid AniTele service launches on April 1

TV Tokyo launched a teaser website on Monday for its new AniTele (animeteleto) streaming service. The website revealed that the service will offer exclusive "original content" for the Kemono Friends anime.

The paid service will launch on April 1, and pre-registration is available on the website now. The service will offer unlimited streaming of anime that air on TV Tokyo. The service will also offer invitations to events such as "Osomatsu-san Haru no Zenkoku Dai-Senbatsu Jōei Matsuri" on April 6. Additionally, the service will stream original works and allow subscribers to read manga that inspired anime that are airing on TV Tokyo.

The service's monthly fee is 700 yen (about US$6), and people who subscribe in April will receive two free months and a mobile battery. Members will receive a Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- "original goods present" and other limited items. The first 4,000 people to pre-register and visit TV Tokyo's booth at AnimeJapan on March 25 and March 26 will receive original Mr. Osomatsu or Kemono Friends tin badges.

The Kemono Friends television anime premiered on TV Tokyo and TV Osaka on January 10, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs. The original game ended service on December 14. Nexon announced in February that the app will not return despite the anime's popularity. Concept designer Mine Yoshizaki revealed in February that there are plans to continue the Kemono Friends project after the currently airing anime season.
