Murako Kinuta's Jūyō Sankōnin Tantei (The Detective Who is a Witness) is inspiring a live-action television series adaptation. The show will air on TV Asahi on Fridays at 11:15 p.m. beginning this October.
The story follows three mystery-solving male models: Kei Maneki, who has a strange tendency to be the first to discover bodies, mystery nerd Itsuki Suō, and flirtatious Simon Tōma. The show will star Kis-My-Ft2's Yūta Tamamori as Kei, NEWS' Keiichirō Koyama as Itsuki, and Yūki Furukawa as Simon. The television series will have an original heroine who is not in the manga.
Kinuta launched the manga in Shogakukan's Zōkan Flowers magazine in May 2013, and it moved to Monthly Flowers, where it is ongoing, in July 2015. Shogakukan published the sixth compiled book volume on June 9.
