Tonegawa Anime Reveals Staff, Opening Theme Artist, New Cast Member, July 3 Premiere

The official website for the anime of the Kaiji spinoff manga Chūkan Kanriroku Tonegawa (Middle Management Chronicle Tonegawa) revealed on Thursday that Jay Kabira (seen below) will be the narrator for the anime. The site also revealed the show will air for two cours, and will premiere on NTV's "AnichU" programming block on July 3 at 25:59 (effectively July 4 at 1:59 a.m.).
The site also revealed the show's staff and opening theme song artist.
Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Sket Dance, Psychic Squad, Hayate the Combat Butler, Frame Arms Girl) is directing the series at Madhouse. Mitsutaka Hirota (Digimon Adventure tri. film series, The Prince of Tennis II, Anime-Gataris) is handling the series composition, Haruhito Takada (Kaiji, Claymore) is the character designer and chief animation director, and Takahiro Yamada (BONJOUR Sweet Love Patisserie) is composing the music. Kisuke Koizumi is the sound director at HALF H·P STUDIO, Harue Ono is the color designer, and Mariko Tsukatsune is editing.
The Gesu no Kiwami Otome band will perform the opening theme song "Sassoku to Hashiru Tonegawa-kun" (Gallant and Running Tonegawa).

The manga focuses on the "agonizing daily life of Teiai Group executive Yukio Tonegawa, who gets into conflicts with Hyōdō and the black suits."
The manga launched in Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine in 2015 with collaboration from Kaiji creator Nobuyuki Fukumoto. The manga switched to Kodansha's Comic Days manga app on March 5. Tensei Hagiwara is writing the series, and Tomohiro Hashimoto and Tomoki Miyoshi are providing the art. Kodansha published the sixth compiled book volume last November. The series ranked at #1 on the top 20 list of manga for male readers in the 2017 edition of Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) guidebook.
