K: Return of Kings Anime Gets Stage Play

Marvelous Entertainment announced on Saturday that GoRA and GoHands' K franchise is getting a fifth stage play titled K the Stage: Return of Kings, based on the second anime season. The play will run in Tokyo from March 1-10, and then in Osaka from March 15-17. Kenichi Suemitsu is directing and writing the play.
The cast includes:

- Konona Shiba as Neko
- Sakina Kuwae as Anna Kushina
- Juri as Izumo Kusanagi
- Taizō Shiina as Misaki Yata
- Makoto Takada as Rikio Kamamoto
- Kento Ono as Reishi Munakata
- Kaoru Marimura as Seri Awashima
- Yūya Kido as Saruhiko Fushimi
- Yoshihide Sasaki as Yukari Mishakuji
- Shūhei Izumi as Tenkei Iwafune
- Toman as Sukuna Gojō
The first stage play, titled K the Stage, ran in Tokyo in August 2014. The second play, titled K the Stage II: Arousal of King, ran in Tokyo and Osaka in August 2015. The third play, K the Stage: Lost Small World, ran in Tokyo and Kyoto in July 2016. The fourth play, K the Stage: Missing Kings, ran in October 2017 in Tokyo and Kyoto.
The original 13-episode K television anime series aired in Japan starting in October 2012. The anime inspired the K: Missing Kings sequel film in July 2014, and then the 13-episode K: Return of Kings television anime series premiered in October 2015. A six-part film project titled K: Seven Stories is currently screening in Japan. The film series is screening one film per month starting in July, and the sixth film opened in Japan on Friday.
Viz Media licensed the original K anime series, K: Missing Kings, and K: Return of Kings. Hulu and Neon Alley streamed the first K anime series and the K: Return of Kings sequel series. Viz Media has also licensed K: Seven Stories.
