Anime Fans from Kolkata Host Virtual Discussion Meet

Anime fans from the city of Kolkata, India, and members of Kolkata Anime Club organized a virtual anime discussion meet on May 31. Independent researchers Senjuti Ghosh and Sujata Raychaudhuri hosted the meet on the Google Meet service.
Shubham Biswas compiled the discussions into videos. The hosts divided the discussion into four segments:
- The definition of anime.
- Miyazaki and the global impact of anime.
- Manga and its relationship with anime.
- How anime affects fans.
Local anime clubs such as the Kolkata Anime Club, Guwahati Anime Club, and Mumbai Anime Club have suspended monthly club meets due to the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Members of the clubs continue to interact on social media platforms and video chat services.
