Genericon XXVIII to be Held the Weekend of March 13-15
TROY, NY (October 27, 2014) – Genericon, the annual student-run anime, science fiction, and gaming convention held at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, will hold its 28th convention the weekend of March 13-15, 2015. Our theme for this year's con will be titled Genericon: The Video Game and will be centered around retro video gaming. Our staff looks forward to seeing their attendees next year on the release of Genericon: The Video Game.
ABOUT GENERICON: Genericon is an annual, student-run sci-fi, anime, and gaming convention, the oldest of its kind in the United States. For 28 years, it has been run by student staff and volunteers at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute campus in Troy, New York. The convention features a 24-hour video game room, anime and sci-fi screenings, role playing games, a cosplay contest, vendors, artists' alley, panels by special guests and fans, a concert, gaming tournaments and more.
