Our story takes place in 19th century England...
As the queen's watchdog, Butler Sebastian Michaelis seeks to uncover the truth of certain odd rumors circulating in the underworld at the behest of his young master, 13 year old Ciel Phantomhive, the head of the well known Phantomhive family.
The comic it's based on, written by Yana Toboso, has been running for over 15 years, and as of September 2021, its circulation reached 30 million volumes sold worldwide. In addition to theatrical releases, the manga has also inspired other media such as an anime, musical, and live-action movie, and more.
