I also noticed it said that by entering you agree to receive one promotional e-mail from Bandai. I hope it is a coupon. If I don't win, I will be buying this anyway... |

Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is a "clear file".
Also, if we don't win the contest, is there any other way to get it other than random bidding things on Ebay and such? |

After reading through this thread, I'm a little confused as to what the Blu-ray included in the prize pack is.
Respondents in this thread seem to be saying that the prize pack includes Gundam Unicorn Volume 4. But from what I see in the prize pack listing, I read it to be saying that the Blu-ray included in the prize pack is a Japanese Blu-ray of the first volume of Gundam Unicorn. So is this a Japanese pressing of Volume 4 or is it a Japanese pressing of Volume 1? |

So, nobody got the memo that the USPS has this thing called "Priority Mail Flat Rate?" If it fits, it ships for one low flat rate? |

I meant obtaining the promotional item. It doesn't seem to be available from the Bandai store and I can't tell exactly if it's available from Amazon Japan. |

Did you get the memo that Priority Mail flat rate applies only to continental US? International shipping rates aren't flat. |

When you mean clear file, do you mean film strip?

I think that clear files are generally clear/translucent plastic folders that have character or other artwork on them, which are theoretically for holding papers. Or something like that. ^_^ |

USPS Flat Rate only ships within the USA. Also, there's more than just the cost of shipping that keeps us from shipping outside the USA & Canada for most contests. The biggest issue is licensing, although the Gundam UC contest is an exception to that issue since the sponsor is BV. |

Giving away volume 1. Sorry the title is a bit misleading, it's titled "Volume 4" because it's promoting the volume 4 release. -t |

Last I checked, Hawaii and Alaska are part of the United States of America as the 50th and 49th states respectively. Unless the Kingdom of Hawaii somehow regained back it's independence from it's overthrow in 1893 and Russia had buyers remorse from selling Alaska back in 1867 and we gave it back to them. Also, I double checked on the USPS website. There is no "special price a/or restrictions" on Flat Rate Priority Mail to either of those states. I even typed in random zip codes in the Continental USA and random zips in Hawaii and Alaska on the online calculator. Except for cheaper online pricing if you buy postage on the USPS website and any addition of extras like tracking or insurance, all the advertised rates for Flat Rate are the same. |

So what about Alaska and Hawaii? So they aren't part of the continental United States. You know what also isn't part of the lower 48? New Zealand. Australia. The British Isles. Russia. China. India. Mexico. South America. Africa. The Middle East. Russia. Oh, I already mentioned Russia? Well, it is seventeen million square kilometres, can't hurt to have it listed twice.
My point is, you're counter-arguing based on one small and insignificant thing Zac said while completely ignoring the whole point about international shipping. As in, between nations, not states. Whether or not the flat-rate priority mail works for Alaska doesn't mean diddly squat compared to all of the ANN members based around the world who are unable to collect prizes. I'd love to enter ANN contests. Heck, I could if I wanted. But there's little point with the prize restrictions. Which is sad, because as an American citizen you'd think I wouldn't have this problem. But I don't have anyone in the States who can collect the prize package on my behalf. |
