Episode 3
At least Jeanne kind of did something. Although you have to question the stupidity of kids that would spoiler[stay around a house that was on fire.] |

Jeannespoiler[ posing as a guy], not bad at all.
She actually looks really nice. Nobunaga's spoiler[little brother] seems like a sweet kid. A complete opposite of the wild Nobunaga. Yet, Nobunaga still manages to surprise spoiler[with his fighting skills. It's nice we finally got to see a bigger fight. I must say it was rather impressive.] Hope this anime will continue along this path. |

Welp, I didn't expect that ending, or at least this earlier on in the series.

Episode 6
Why did Da Vinci call her "mademoiselle" when he is meant to be Italian? Wait, maybe because she is meant to be French. That was really bothering me. |

Things are not looking good for Oda clan.
spoiler[Nobunaga] was grieving in his own unique way. Always such a rebel... spoiler[If he continues like this he's gonna have an uprising on his hands. He's going to push everyone away with his behavior. Guess he's too macho to show his true feelings to anyone.] The ending of the episode was a shocker! So much spoiler[unnecessary loss].. |

Reasons for some major events of episode #6 are not really convincing at all. Because of this, class of the show seems very dubious now. Looks like cheap emotional pron -- which might possibly only work for very, very young audience; for more mature viewers, this stretched drama is so transparent that it does not leave much impression, if any.
This whole show is a pile of bland character designs with random famous historical names thrown in without too much consideration of actual historical figures relation to the personages. Last edited by MaxSouth on Sun Feb 23, 2014 12:53 pm; edited 2 times in total |

spoiler[Damn, what drama. Things certainly took a turn for the worst fast. Guess Nobunaga's recent behavior had something to do with the whole ordeal. Playing who's who to find the culprit, wonder how long it'll take. I was surprised to see Nobunaga ask first and not blindly attack. At least Shingen's is predictable in his thoughts and honest with his intentions. Might even go so far as to call him noble. It's actually fun to realize how similar those are ^^ Caesar sure made a mess of things. That spineless, lying, backstabbing bastard. Can't wait to see what'll happen next.] |

Episode 7:
I think I took a feels trip this episode. Not bad though at least in action. And another cliffhanger too...unsurprisingly imo. |

Even if the show has so far been barely average, borderline in mediocrity, I have to give the writers kudos for how much effort is being put on Mitsuhide as a character. The scene of him taking the demon's mask was fantastic and his struggle due to his devotion to Nobunaga make him probably the best Akechi Mitsuhide I've seen in any Sengoku anime.
The one thing that does bother me now is thatspoiler[ all of Takeda is blindly following Caesar as if there had been no one to take charge after the lord passed away. With an outstanding figure like the Sanada clan being historically affiliated with the Takeda, the absolute lack of Sanada Yukimura -one of Sengoku anime's favorite character- is downright befuddling.]. It's not like I expected any semblance of accuracy from this show, but you can never have enough Sengoku characters in a Sengoku anime. Oh well, at least we havespoiler[ Uesugi Kenshin] coming next week |

If the fog had cleared enough to see the mountains in the background, spoiler[how did all those people watching miss a 20 foot tall mech sneaking up behind Takeda?]

I decided to skip this weeks episode and drop the series, it had become too painful to watch.

Nobunaga was so fast that he appeared to be in two places at the same time. Optic illusion. Magic. Hand of God. Caesar's just that good. Spontaneous mass blindness. Irregular fog. Because... erm... ... d-don't ask stupid questions! |

spoiler[Nobunaga just can't seem to get a lucky break. Caesar's interference sure made a mess of things. The thing with Regalias is getting more complex. Leonardo seems to have good understanding of them though. It's useful for Nobunaga to have him on his side. Interesting turn of events. Can't wait to see more.] |
