Not sure if this is effecting anyone else, but any attempts I make to load certain pages such as the home page and the bigger link listings of the News and Views tabs result in a blank page being generated from my end. In case any specifics are needed, I'm running Firefox as my main browser with Windows 7 64-bit Home Edition as my operating system.
Is this a problem with anyone else or just something wrong from my end? |

Having the same exact issue. However, the site seems to load just fine on Internet Explorer, but is having problems on FireFox, so not sure what the problem is...

Yep, it's affecting me on Firefox too. In the exact same way. I tried loading it in safe mode/with add-ons disabled but that didn't change anything. It loaded fine for me yesterday, and nothing has changed on my end since then; I'm wondering if it has something to do with the skin fix Dan42 made earlier today for another user (I saw it mentioned in another thread in this section; the timing seems a bit coincidental).

I'm on Chrome, same problem. I hope it wasn't 'because of Dan fixing stuff... although I had no problem earlier today, and he said he'd made the fix already.

I'm having the same issue. I can't load the front page on my home computer (running Firefox), my work computer (Chrome), or my iPhone (Safari).

Same issue here. The issue started sometime on Thursday. Using Windows 10 and Firefox.

Same issue for me.
Tried Windows 7 with IE & Chrome Windows 10 with Edge Can get to articles (with a provided link from another person) and forums, but the front page is a blank. Started around Noon yesterday (Sept 3) |

I've having the same problem on various browsers (Chrome, Firefox, a couple of others). The bizarre thing is, if I do a simple GET on www.animenewsnetwork.com using something like WGET, the document is returned correctly, however there's no document at all in any of the browsers. I turned JavaScript off, and still nothing, in case of a rogue script that might be doing something destructive. It does work fine in lynx, but that does little more than read the page in a terminal.
FAKE EDIT: I do seem to be getting a 500 on the main page, but I get 200 with the manual GETs. Even with the exact same HTTP headers. Like I said, bizarre. |

Ah crap, I'm sorry everyone. I made a stupid mistake when I uploaded the text-only optimization yesterday. It's fixed now. m(_ _)m

Was it something to do with the accept header? I noticed I'd set mine to */* when manually GETting, but I think Chrome was sending a more specific list. |

No, it was the cookie that marks your preference as one of the text-only modes. |
