We recently got a 2nd & Charles store here [buys & sells books, video games, DVDs/BDs, CDs and vynil] and I decided to check them out for the 1st time...holy shit, they have lots of manga! And good prices! If they have multiple copies of the same book, they may have different prices. The prices are not condition-based as all books are in great shape, but based on # of copies in inventory & how long they've had it. The video games, however are overpriced & better @ Gamestop.
The below ranged from $3.50-$6.00 each: Magika: Swordsman and Summoner vol. 1 Translucent vol. 1 Oh! My Goddess vol. 39-48 [48 is final volume] I need to check my collection of O!MG & see what other volumes I need... I think I have thru early-mid 30's, then go back for more... Great store for manga! Except for them being a bagless store (environmental concerns, I suppose), so have to remember to take one when I go again! Now to prepare for Colossalcon East in 2 weeks! |

I settled for the Single Plus level. I thought that $35 was a bit much for a chipboard box. For the time being at any rate. I just checked and we are less than $13,000 from the second half of the second season.
I wonder how much we would have to pony up to get Right Stuf! to partner with someone and finish the manga. I don't suppose that will ever happen though. |

Comic shop day! Hit two places actually (holiday weekend sales)
7th Garden 5 Bungo Stay Dogs 3 Dreamin' Sun 2 Not Lives 6 One Piece 71-76 World Trigger 17 Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches 14 The One Piece were used so they were 60% off! Also found the fan made physical copy of Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Hearts (GBA) at the one comic shop (they sell older used games too), and being a Dragon Quest fanboy, had to snag that one too. |

Picked up two Evangelion-clones off of eBay:
RahXephon Grand Canon Collection Brain Powerd Collections 1-3 Also, received notification that my School-Live! Premium Box Set is finally shipping out from RightStuf, along with Fairy Tail Master's Edition Volume 4 (which, after returning multiple copies of books from this collection back to Amazon due to their inability to ship large paperbacks properly, I decided to pick up back during RightStuf's last Kodansha sale). Finally, I've picked up a few more SD Gundam kits since the last time I posted to this thread: SD MSN-04II Nightingale (an absolutely massive non-Bandai kit, that came with an LED mono-eye and a custom stand for all its Funnel drones... the box is seriously bigger than the average 1/100 Master Grade kit) SD BB401 Gundam Barbatos DX (it's basically the SD Ex-Standard Barbatos, with additional armor parts and weapons so you can assemble it as any of Barbatos' first-season "forms") SD Ex-Standard RX-78-2 Gundam (Amazon put it up as an add-on item last week, although bizarrely it shipped separately from the rest of the order) |

This weekend at Colossalcon East (a smaller, local first-year con spun off from Colossalcon in Sandusky, OH and both held at branches of the Kalahari Resorts, Convention Center & Waterpark), I netted the following:
1 Colossalcon East T-shirt In the dealer's room: Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl Standard Edition BD/DVD combo Dragon Pink (the Kitty DVD release, which, while not labeled as such, appears to be on a DVD-R unfortunately, which Media Blasters is known for doing... Rio Rainbow Gate Reshuffle BD Juden-chan: Recharged BD Kanokon: The Girl Who Cried Fox TV/OVA Collection DVD (also an unlabeled DVD-R) 3 hentai manga volumes from the the now-legit FAKKU!! Nisekoi: False Love Vol. 22 Love Live! School Idol Project FuRyu Kosaka Honoka Special Figure 1 To LOVEru Darkness 2nd - Yuuki Mikan - PM Figure (SEGA) prize figure (all Media Blasters/Kitty/FAKKU!! purchases were made from MB's founderJohn Sirabella himself, who was manning their 8 foot x 8 foot booth solo) They also had an Otaku Flea Market, where fellow fans could bring in their no-longer-wanted items to sell. From that, I snagged: The Melnacholy of Suzumiya Haruhi-chan manga Vol. 1-2 The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi hardcover light novel Love Live! School Idol Project Solo Live Collection: Hanayo Koizumi CD and a pile of pencil boards (remember those?) and clear files and one mousepad, for shows/manga/games like Futakoi, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Ranma, Saber Marionette J, Peach Girl, Words Worth, Oh! My Goddess, You're Under Arrest and Love Hina (this is the mousepad) I also attended the Love Live! and Type Moon/Fate cosplay photoshoots... aside from missing 1 or 2 good shots waiting for my flash to charge, it was fun! All in all, I will definitely go back for Colossalcon East II in 2018! Last edited by wmderemer on Mon Sep 11, 2017 4:34 am; edited 1 time in total |
