Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure is a live-action production in which some (not all) of the main characters are animated. I think this makes it relevant enough for including, but I don’t think some of the characters being animated makes it an “ONA”. If we have to choose, I think categorizing it as live-action makes more sense.

While I haven't seen Gudetama personally, so I could be quite wrong about exactly how it looks, but the previous precedent has been that anime/live-action hybrids are still put into the system as anime.
Examples: Twilight of the Cockroaches (anime#4181) Kyōryū Tankentai Born Free (anime#1475) Other editors are more than free to chime in with differing opinions, but for now, I feel that it should likely stay as "anime", based on the precedent, but it does beg the question if we need some sort of "live-action/anime hybrid" category. |
