You expected an awesome Nana Mizuki song? No, you get Eisai Haramasukoi!

I'm sort of bracing myself for the possibility that the finale will be an actual Hoshiiro Girldrop episode. I genuinely want to know what will happen to So²Gu, though.

I totally disagree with the reviewer, the haunted house segment was freaking amazing. Also I second the subconsious hope that the last episode will be a real Hoshiro Girldrop episode. If not that, I feel like a show as irreverent as this will definitely do *something* unexpected.

Also I just caught up with the last two episodes and can I just say that I have mad respect for them for doing a Princess Kaguya parody, art style and all, in episode 10?

At least the B-side version of this segment was more amusing, with the mysterious mustache man (seriously, who was he?)

From what I've heard he’s a comedian who was impersonating Junji Inagawa, who is a famous horror-story-teller on 80s TV.

Basically they're parodying this: https://imgur.com/a/ys6DY

I have to agree with the reviewer that the haunted house segment was very weak. It's basically a generic horror movie parody that fails to take full advantage of:

1. Popuko and Pipimi's characters (especially Popuko and her psychotic ways);

2. The voice actors of Pipimi this time around (aka the seiyuus of Ai Enma and Pierrot Le Fou).

I had to pause from laughing after that one lady reversed off the cliff. And then the car exploded, because of course it would.

I think episode 11 was one of the strongest episodes yet. Nothing approached "Let's Pop Together" or "Hellshake Yano" quality, but all of the segments were of a high caliber, with some great sight gags. The haunted house segment was pretty entertaining for me, but was elevated to new heights by the B part, which I thought was hilarious. If I have one complaint it's that due to the nature of the skit I wasn't able to hear Kana Ueda's lovely voice as much as I wanted to.
The key frames gag was perhaps the best Bob Epic Team segment yet, the Eisai Haramasukoi opening was great, and the next episode preview for Hoshiiro Girldrop had me dying.

I lost it when Eliot came into the mix, although I'm pulling for an e e cummings riff next time.
(anyone lived in anime hell town...) Well done!

I realize that people are all over Sho Hayami's Popuko (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's Enrico Pucci) shouting MADE IN HEAVEN during the final battle

Both of them are Pucci actually. Hayami played him in All-Star Battle and Nakata played him in Eyes of Heaven.

I never even intended to watch PTE, but it became my must-watch-as-soon-as-it's-posted show of the season. Thanks for the ridiculous and creative reviews, Gabriella; the crappy Buzz Lightyear images were probably better than whatever was supposed to be there.

Whether or not there's ever a second season, let's always remember to take a little time to think about Hellshake Yano.

If you're ever feeling down, just remember that the earth is billions of years old, and yet somehow, some way, you lived during the same period of time in which Pop Team Epic first aired on television.

I'm really gonna miss this shitty f**king show.

Couldn't ask for a better finale than the eldritch abomination produced during the orgy among Fate x Fantasia x Eva x Garo x Pipimi x Popuko.

Have I just not been paying attention or was that second half very different from the first half compared to usual?
