A price cut would not help in any way... if people didn't get the Vita at 185, like I did, they will surely won't get it at a price cut to 200 either.

sorry, man; anime comes first.
I don't have room for a vita in my budget until all the anime sales are purchased and sentai films had a big holiday sale. Funimation went on sale in JAN and Aniplex took all my money this FEB. I got my shipping notice for nisemonogatari today.
not to mention STEAM had 2 or 3 holiday sales which took a huge chunk.
Vita needs to be cheap anytime, all the time.

Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida stated at a roundtable that although Japanese consumers will receive a price cut on the Playstation Vita, Sony will not match the cut in North America.

In that case I will formally announce that Sony will not be getting me as a customer for the next "x" amount of years until the price cut is made in NA.

The vita is a major fail with no games.

So the PS Vita is a major fail with no games, and because they cut the price in Japan without following suit in the US, you are declaring a boycott.

What a sacrifice you are making! Boycotting a product that according to your description it sounds like you would not be buying even if they did cut the price.

They should try to attract customers--instead of making idiotic decisions like these and losing potential sales (like they did with me for example) :/

If the problem is lack of major games, then what they need is more games. A price cut wouldn't on its own bring those games into existence.
