Great list! Love to see Kitchen Princess and What Did You Eat Yesterday? mentioned. Everything in Yoshinaga's foodie manga always makes me so hungry. Yakitate!! Japan also has some pretty great bread recipes, but maybe its focus is too specific for a list like this.

Unusually, there are a lot of shows to look forward to this winter (mostly sequels), but my most anticipated has to be lesbian bears!

I love Food Wars camp and over the top take on cooking and every time I read a volume I want to start cooking... And I despise cooking.

YES. My brother actually became a baker because of that. Anime hyper

And it's good to know that Addicted to Curry got some recognition. I wanna try the scallion curry Makito made against Shiina Tooru!

I also find the lack of Yakitate Japan disappointing.

Despite the craziness of the show, a lot of the baking was real, and they even had segments after the show showing how to replicate some of them.

I voted for Maria the Virgin Witch. I don't know much about it, but it's based on a manga by Moyasimon author Masayuki Ishikawa, and I liked what I read of Moyasimon. It could be considered a cooking manga, too, or at least a food development manga. As a big fan of yogurt, I appreciate its focus on fermentation. Go cutesy bacteria!

Of course, if Maria devolves into stupid jokes about the main character's virgin status, I'll lose interest very quickly. In that case,Death Parade and Assassination Classroom both look like promising new series...and that Ikuhara series has a lot of promise.

Bummer. Oh well, I already knew Furfrou was not too popular anyway. Didn't expect Arcanine to beat out Lucario though. Personally, I found Arcanine to be the most bland canine Pokémon, though it WAS the first one. Lucario is a really interesting Pokémon, on the other hand (and playable in every Smash Bros. game since its introduction in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl).

Since Toriko doesn't have any recipes or any cooking grounded in reality, I would've been surprised to see it. Then again, you never know when Billion Bird eggs might become available at your local grocery store.

I suppose that's why Yakitake!! Japan wasn't on this list either: While it was pretty grounded and realistic, it became increasingly weird and exaggerated as the series went. Still, it had bread recipes.

My most anticipated series is easily the second half of Jojo Part III. My anime viewing has been suffering from a regrettable excess of sanity ever since the first half ended.

I thought of this one, but what I found from other readers is that while the recipes are impressive, they aren't exactly feasible? Was I off the mark, though?

Looks like my choice last week ended up 3rd (Houndoom), which is cool. I've never read any of these series but Iron Wok Jan! looks hardcore. From what I've heard Drops of God would have been a good choice for wine lovers. For this weeks poll it was a toss up between Kancolle and Yuri Kuma Arashi, but my mecha musume love won out and in the end I went with Kancolle.

You are off the mark. Like I said, right after the credits, they usually show how to make the bread shown on the show. Its embellished, but the majority of the bread is actually real and you can bake it. Sure it won't actually bring the dead, but most of it is real.

I'm rather surprised Mister Ajikko didn't make this list as it is also one of the oldest cooking manga around, which also spawned off a fairly long running anime series and has plenty to offer as well. It's also considered to be an inspiration for Iron Chef. In fact, if it weren't for this title, I doubt "Food wars" would even be around.

Just my 2 cents.
