WTF, a web novel isekai anime with an actually good key visual?

Is the world ending?

The webnovel has been rewritten as a light novel, currently there's 17 volumes.

J-novel club must be ecstatic over how much free advertising they get for their various licenses.

Given the timing for a few of the recent JNC licenses followed by anime announcements (such as this one), I'm suspicious that JNC knew the anime was coming when they licensed it.

Of course, that's not necessarily true in all cases, and there are a few of their older titles that I expect will get an anime eventually too.

The announcement and air date are too close. Production values are gonna suck.

I've actually been reading the light novel and also the manga. For me this is one of the better isakei stories. The women aren't pushovers. The main character isn't dull and he can't do everything. The drawing in the manga are above average.

The only other isakei I'd like to see is The Rising of the Shield Hero which I've been reading. The main character is somewhat similar to New Life+.

From what i've read of the series (the 2 volumes published in english), i think this series has a lot of potential. Some of the characters are a lot more layered and interesting than most of these kinds of stories, particularly the female ones. It's not a "harem" as far as i can tell, and the main character isn't overpowered- just skilled. Idk if the anime will be any good, but as far as the story goes, i think it has more to offer than Smartphone or Deathmarch.

An anime adaptation of The Rising of the Shield Hero has already been announced.

I don't know how it was with this one, but IIRC at least one of the LNs they're publishing (Smartphone I think) was offered to them by the Japanese publisher, like "hey, since we have some good vibes going between us, you want to license this LN? *wink wink nudge nudge*"

It definitely looks like one judging from the key visual. That’s fine by me, though, if it was.

That series synopsis has to be a new record among official series synopses because that is a 211-word synopsis. Given there is a gap of over 4.5 years between when the novel series started and its official anime adaptation's premiere, it's not out of reason to think the 1st 12 vol. might get adapted.
