It felt like it was about time for a new mainline Gundam show that wasn't a Build Divers series, so I'm happy to hear it (I'm assuming it'll be a new Gundam universe).
I'm curious what the premise will be. "The Witch From Mercury" either implies a female MC or at least what the female lead is. Will there be a magic component or will it be through a Newtype-esque way? Will the Gundam be the titular witch or related to her? I guess I'm also curious if Netflix will snag this like they've been snagging other Gundam works. |

That's what I'm afraid of, even though AGE did improve after the 1st generation, however the stench of G-Reco is strong and unlike AGE didn't improve. |

Now this I wouldn't mind since I loved Esca. That younger generation line from the article has me cautiously hesitant. |

Nice to see a new Gundam series coming! =)
I doubt it, but I hope they don't split the series in half again. I thought that both IBO and 00 went down in their second halves. Not sure what happens during those breaks or when planning what how the story splits during that time, but it hasn't been great imo.
Edit: Forgot to respond to that lol My read on the title gives me the same thought. The "ordinary" protagonist will meet the Witch of Mercury which will thrust him to the center of the main plot. So then, could we be getting Magical Girl Gundam perhaps? Granted, the titular Witch from Mercury could just be a pilot nickname but I'd like if we could go down a more fantastic direction like G Gundam once more.
