I think the problem with dubbing Mushi-shi is Travis Willingham is pretty much retired from anime dubbing nowadays |

Wouldnt be the first time an MC has been replaced.

Yep, you can thank the weird loophole of Animelab having the licence for them and somehow not carrying over to Oceanic CR accounts. Same thing with the first 2 seasons of Yowamushi Pedal

Or if you're having to replace the actor for your lead character where the lead character is one of the few only recurring characters just watch it in Japanese? I get having dubs for accessibility reasons but s2 is like ten years old now and the series is finished. They've got no incentive to go back and dub it.

Sure, but Travis potentially not being available isn't an actual problem. The real problem is Aniplex not giving a shit about mushishi.
