Fine, don't believe me. I'm wrong. I'm too busy today to bother with spending hours going through all the specific dates that seiyuu get married and finding specific dates of every single anime they've done.

Oh, you would have to do more than that. You would have to prove that this has nothing to do with those women changing priorities after getting married, their services becoming costlier due to their experience or simply them getting older. You would have to prove that even if you're right, those are not isolated cases or those aren't just women who have built their careers only on the idol status. Only after that it would become common knowledge instead of speculation based on stereotypes and anecdotal or circumstantial evidence.

Dude, common knowledge is normally based on stereotypes and anecdotal/circumstantial evidence.

To be fair, temper tantrums are normally spur-of-the-moment things.

More like I'm too lazy to go through every seiyuu that was married and find out what shows were done pre marriage announcement. But its one of those things that are just fact: When you have auditions for major characters, WHY would you go with the people who have baggage with them? Its the reason Hirano can't get any more than tiny bit roles even though she's crazy talented.

The reason Hirano isn't getting roles is because she's not talented enough to be cast based purely on talent and not Otaku fans. She's still a rookie in comparison to the vast number of other voice actors over there and only rose quickly in the ranks because of the money she could draw in for Otaku-pandering.

This development isn't surprising, but I thought Japanese otaku stopped caring about voice actresses as objects of desire once they hit their 30s, married or not.

It would've certainly been more precise to use the word "fact", but I was more concerned about throwing his own words back at him. At the same time a cannot fully agree with you either. A lot of things that are common knowledge are self-evident or come from authority.

Sorry, but facts are dead, at least in my country. Don't know about Latvia, though. Perhaps Fact just took refuge in Riga, and you found him there?

This thread is confusing me.
The news is about her official agency-managed fan club, not fan activity.

wanting logic on a /ann/ thread, bro you have come to the wrong place. I highly doubt her career is far from over nor will this end it, this just means otaku/fans can not longer dream about marrying her.

Then thats even more reasoning to believe her career is over now. You'd think her agency would want to keep around her fan club if she still had plans to do voice work.
