Hiroshi HAMASAKI
Hiroshi HAMAZAKI
Hirotsugu HAMASAKI
Hirotsugu HAMAZAKI
see also this post.

Kanji are the same for all four, task are all animation-related (storyboards, animation director, key animation, etc.), definitely these all are one person, that I could prove by cross-checking Japanese sources.
But I got somewhat confused trying to find out what spelling would be right here. Japanese Wikipedia and Madhouse page and Japanese animator's wiki all give it as Hiroshi Hamasaki, while allcinema gives alternative of "Hirotsugu Hamazaki".
Also, in Japanese wiki it is claimed that at some early point in his career he was credited as 浜崎ひろし which gives unambigous first name reading as Hiroshi, but then again that could be a nom de plume...
Ah, and yes both Hirotsugu and Hiroshi are valid readings for first name kanji, both Hamasaki and Hamazaki are that for last name.
Any ideas/help would be appreciated.

Her ComicBookDB.com entry. She seems to use "Lois Buhalis" in everyday life (FaceBook and LiveJournal), but I recall her work as being credited "L. Lois Buhalis".

Edit: Links:

Edit 2: I sent her a message via LiveJournal informing her of this discussion.

I've posted about this guy on the previous page. I found the Madhouse page a while after posting that and I think that puts the nail in the coffin for this problem. FUNimation and Geneon also wrote his name down as Hiroshi Hamasaki for Shigurui and Texhnolyze-- I'm sure that the JP companies would at least want the director to have his name spelled correctly.

They are the same person because this PR says Stuart Levy, founder of TOKYOPOP, is also the producer of upcoming films Priest and The Dreaming and director of Van Von Hunter.

Angelic Layer isn't mentioned once in that topic and I honestly couldn't say what the difference between an "assistant" and an "associate" producer is. Regardless, I'm certainly not going to go changing anything without some sort of evidence and the onus is on you to provide it since you are the one reporting the problems. I'm not going to go hunting for it if you already have it in hand.

You. Can. Use. This. One. It's the same thing, only that it's more recent and you don't have to use a five year old thread.

The original video for episode 7 for Bluer Than Indigo uses 桜美勝志 for 原画 and 桜美かつし for 演出 in the Spanish translated subtitle script in the Japanese version and Bang Zoom translated 桜美勝志 and 桜美かつし to Katsushi Sakurabi.
