I think that you have to come into this series with an open mind.... and you also have to be in the mood to watch the series... at least thats what happened with me and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would (also a lot more action than I expected too)

I actually kinda wanna go home and watch it again after work but I think thats just my normal "I just finished an anime series and I want more" withdrawl talking....

but I should watch it dubbed to see how the shakespearian english plays out

and wtf was with the first ending theme? thats my one major beef with the series, totally ruined the feel/mood of the series >.<... so glad when they switched.

I must be one of the few people who liked the ending theme not just on its own merits, but how it rounded off each episode with energy and vigour. I actually preferred it to the second ED, but then again I've always loved a good beat.

Oh, I would have liked the first ED had I heard it anywhere else other than at the end of each episode of this series. It just was a bad fit here.

I'd have to echo Key's sentiment here. The 1st ED was just so... jarring after watching an episode. If I'd have heard it somewhere else... or maybe even as the OP it wouldn't have been as bad. I actually thought the RxJ OP was the ED before I watched the series because it.... just sounded like an ED...

but anyway, any thoughts on which historical story gonzo is gonna adapt next?

and also, funi's RxJ site doesn't really have much info on it..... a trailer a couple clips and links to buy... unless I'm missing something.

The Gonzo we once knew is gone. New management, new ideals. I would actually be surprised if they made anything like Romeo x Juliet (or even this year's Shangri-La) again.

This anime has the distinct honor of making me cry at the end, and the only other anime that made my cry was Zoro's origin episode in One Piece.
