Picked up Idol Dreams Vol. 7 and The King's Beast Vol. 3 today from Barnes & Noble. I also snagged up a new copy of Vampire Knight Memories Vol. 1, as I noticed this copy had a corrected translation compared to mine (I had one of the earlier copies that misidentified Ren as a boy, when she wasn't given a specific gender at that point in time). Not sure what I'm going to do with my original volume at the moment, but I'm glad to have the corrected version on my shelf now.

My second RS summer Haul:
Picked up the Maquia LE. I would have been satisfied with a standard edition but the Shout Factory release was garbage with 2 video tracks. One has the JPN audio with hard subs and the other is Eng audio effectively splitting the bit rate. The LE was Eleven Arts without those issues. Also got Ayakashi Samurai Horror Tales, remember enjoying this back in the day and will go along with my DVD of Mononoke which really needs a BD release. Got 2 manga A Brides Story vol 12 and Ran and the Gray World vol 3. Both series feature beautiful distinctive art that is very different from each other. Highly recommend them both just for the art alone. Along with my order I got $10 Free Blind Box. This was the Aniplex Durarara!! x2 vol2 on DVD. That's not too bad for a free blind box, unfortunately season 2 never was as good as season one and I have little interest in collecting it or hunting down the rest of the now OOP copies. |

pre-ordered Future Boy Conan from Right Stuff
added the last 3 or 4 Haruhi Suzumiya novels to get to free-shipping level but was 80 cents short. So I finally also ordered the Ai Yori Aoshi CD soundtrack. That's been sitting at the top of my "save for later" as a cart-topper option for years. I've been going slow on the HS novels, so it doesn't matter that they're held up until FBC ships. Found a strange one at a Goodwill.
I think it's a complete set of Ikkyū-san on "Video CD." Some sort of boot, I guess. No English on the case, no UPC. $4 Haven't tried to play it yet. [edit] put disc 26 of 26 in. Only 2 episodes. In Chinese. Oh well, it's a neat thing to see. |
