Princess Tutu: Pike and Lilie... No one liked Pike and Lilie... Bleh. Talk about your generic annoying/boring wacky sidekicks, and they weren't even needed at all to keep the cutesy whimsy of the show going. Eh. At least they kinda fade out when things start getting really good.

I love the original Super Dimension Fortress Macross, but hated that the animation quality varied so greatly from episode to episode. You could really tell which episodes were farmed out to other studios.

Marmalade Boy Drama, Drama, drama in a world that's actually almost like heaven, where people are nice to each other, the economy is good, and the main character. Holy crap, she gets on my nerves! she needs to relax sometime and not be so melodramatic! The Hetalia series- It's growing farther and farther away from the focus. WWII! I want to see some drama and stuff! It gets kind of annoying after a while as well. Kodocha- The biggest one of all, NOT DUBBING THE SECOND SEASON!!! It was almost over! One more season! And Funimation couldn't dub that! Man, was I mad!

But.. but... but... that was the part that I liked the most! NERDIEST. ANIME. EVAR. Okay, yeah, wolf wheat goddess thingy who goes are buck-ass naked most of the time, whatever, we got MERANCILIZIN' to do! Let's play one currency against another! Will pelts sell in this city? Will this church bankrupt that bank? SO MUCH INTRIGUE! Three different economic factions trying to screw each other over, and all pretending to be siding with someone else behind each others' backs! Also FOOD LOTS OF FOOD OMG MORE FOOD PORN THAN KUROSHITSUJI -break- Things I don't like about anime I enjoy? Shirai Kuroko. Full stop. Index/Railgun would be so much more enjoyable if she wasn't such a... her. I tried watching an episode of Nyarko-san and thought "Holy crap, this is what you'd get if you gave Kuroko her own show. And made her straight." |

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not with all the caps text but I can understand why someone would be against this kind of story telling. I'm currently watching The irregular and I have to say I'm fed up with each episode feeling more like reading a technical report than an actual episode. The characters hardly feel like "characters". They are more less just tools to expel all this knowledge that the audience doesn't even know about and it's quite boring. I thought Maoyu suffered through the same thing though it also suffered from skipping so many details and events. Log Horizon however in my opinion is a prime example how to do this kind of story telling the RIGHT way. The characters get plenty of development and none of the expedition dumps feel too prolonged. |
