I've watched none of the shows that this VA was in, or at least none of them long enough to form an opinion, so I look forward to the results, and seeing what's most-liked out of a batch of shows I've ignored thus far.

Toriko's creed is almost redundant. The only thing that stops it is the fact that one statement mentions eating directly and the other refers to wanting to eat.

A pretty big (literally) omission is, you know, Gluttony, from FMA.

He will eat anything... and anyone.

Man, no Lina Inverse on the food list and no Nagisa Momoe in the Kana Asumi poll? I guess Nagisa was a fairly minor character and Rebellion wasn't very well-liked, though. Still a shame about Lina and Gourry.

I can see them leaving off Sakura from UY (and the fact that despite her sultry figure and cool exterior, she'd inherited her uncle's appetite was only a minor running gag on the show), just because she did Fuu's "Unnatural metabolism" joke first, but how many things do we even ASSOCIATE with Lina Inverse?
Come to that, Gourry was no slouch at the table, either.

You forgot Lina and Gourry from Slayers. They eat so much and fight so much over the food that its a running gag that ends up with places getting blown up if Lina doesn't have her way when it comes to food.

As others have said, it's super awesome to see Bolt Crank make it on the list. You haven't been forgotten, you 'mazin' metal munchin' man.

Regarding the lack of Lina Inverse or Gourry Gabriev on the list, I've always considered them to be a duo when it comes to appetites so it fits that they were left out in my opinion.

First thing that popped into my head was Kuea from Elemental Gerad. THAT GIRL CAN EAT. A LOT. And if she doesn't get food, she'll try and eat her partners.

BTW, I'm very sad that there isn't a choice for Aira from Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream. That's in fact one of her biggest roles, so it's very disappointing. I won't vote since she's not there.

Why is Marika from Nisekoi included in the poll when she hasn't even made her debut in the anime yet? Confused Anyway, the only one of those characters other than Marika that I recognise is Kiyal from Gurren Lagann.

Paprika's Dr. Tokita [ the BIG kid genius who invented the DC Mini]
Spirited Away's Noface [all mouth and stomach]

Interesting article. I've always wondered why the binge eating anime character archetype was somewhat popular. Is it a fetish? Just played for comedic effect? Meant to characterize a character as happy go lucky and living in the moment while not caring about the consequences?

Probably none of these consistently, and it's common enough it just become a trope that may or may or not have any actual meaning. However, if I had to guess it mainly just played for laughs or meant to develop the character as hyper or somewhat impulsive.

I'm pretty sure there's an "Other" option. Sure, it doesn't give a specific vote directly to Aira, but you can make it be known that way that you don't think any of the ones she listed were her best roles.
