Haha, I find it really amusing how an elementary school children's show ends up becoming an adult-oriented show in the West. That's culture shock for ya.

As for the culture thing... actually, when Shin-Chan came out in the Philippines, it was fairly raunchy as well (though, nowhere near as bad as it is here).

... at least... that's how I remember it...

Oh yeah, Andrew E played him... that was funny. He sounded nothing like a kid *he was just using his regular voice*, but man... it was funny as hell.

So... are they not going to put this back on AS? Seemed like the perfect place for it to be...

I'll just pick up the DVDs (which I didn't expect at first, but DAMN... I enjoyed the hell out of Zach Bolton's dub).

There was one episode of Shin-Chan's test run where Action Bastard needed the kids to come up with a new finishing move. I love when the girl runs up to him with this notebook and he says, "OH MY GOD!! Is this the GOOD translation of this show?!"

That was quite possibly one of the greatest dub in-jokes EVER; I couldn't stop laughing for quite a while.
