So she and that guy will have sex 24 hours a day 7/7?
One thing is being pregnant and thus not performing but I wonder how performing live prevents having sex and thus trying to get pregnant... |

I will confess that my first reaction was "She has to take full-time off for that?--How hard is she working at it? "

For some women, being stressed makes getting pregnant harder. She mentioned she's already worried that her age might affect her ability to conceive as well. She's probably taking time off to relax to help up her chances at conceiving.

I wish her all the best at trying to conceive. No matter the age, anyone can have difficulty.
I'm guessing that due to her age that she may need assistance in conceiving. IVF requires you to go in several days a week for blood draws to check hormone levels and follicle growth. Then you have to take in account the egg retrieval under anesthesia and the transfer of the blastocyst 3-5 days after that. That would only happen if you get a good blastocyst and no ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome complications.
Sex every day decreases the amount and quality of sperm. Ideally, every other day is better for conception. Even so, once that egg is released from the follicle, you only have 12 hours if you're trying without assistance. |

Yeah this makes like no sense. Maternity break because of pregnancy sure. Maybe it would be a problem if she is constantly on tour and away from home. But then you simply reduce the number of tours and arrange it so your at home a bit more. Going on complete hiatus just seems strange. Particularly when you literally announce you are going on hiatus to have sex. But yeah. Appropriate action for a band with that name I guess. |

I'm assuming that no one commenting "she's just taking off to have sex" has any experiences with fertility treatments? Some women have to go through all kinds of hell just to conceive. Even if you don't have to go so far as IVF (I wonder how much that costs in Japan-it can cost tens of thousands without insurance in the US), any kind of hormonal treatments can be harrowing. I hope she has a healthy baby at the end of whatever she has to do to get pregnant.

Y'know that is as funny as it sounds. And something folks in a metal band would say. Well, congrats to her. I didn't know she had a child. Looks like they're going for that 1.3 child ratio. I give major props to Nao as she can play a mean drum. Kids your mother is the personification of "awesome". |

Historical note: When Nao was pregnant the first time she did continue touring... but somewhere around here 3rd or 4th month suffered some sort of bleeding, and was afraid she'd lost her child. (link to her statement) |
