It's not just hentai, it's any adult content. And yes, it is a big deal when large powerful companies or governments decide they know what is best for people. Historically, they are very often wrong. |
Every company is going to have their policies. There is no set of policies will make everybody happy. I just don't see why you're so passionate against it being slightly harder to pay for porn. It's already ridiculously easy to access porn either for cheap or free.

And that is almost literally the point. It is a way to make a statement about how society views things that they've been taught are bad, even when said things are 100% harmless. |
It's not so much that sexual media is seen as inherently bad. It's that most people agree that there is a time and place for appropriate sexual expression. Lewd images on a skateboard (sometimes of underage looking characters) for the whole public to see is not the appropriate context. Sexual expression is a volatile and sensitive thing. It can easily be used to show another person great love and care or inflict tremendous harm. Most people rightly sense that sex is inherently a risky and delicate thing. That is why every society puts limitations on sexual behavior/expression.

I don't see why it should be harder to pay for porn than it is to get it for free(it is literally easier to steal porn than it is to support the people who make it). And I don't see why it should be harder to pay for porn than it is to pay for anything else(obviously, since it's so easy to get for free, it has literally no function as a deterrent for consumption). It is basically throwing these artists into the gutter. Acting like what they create is dirty, or has less value than what any other artist creates.

And everything you've said is based on your social conditioning. I don't disagree all that strongly with most of what you say, honestly, but I do think that a lot of people act like sexual media is inherently bad. And I think that the public shouldn't see sexual expression as such a volatile and inappropriate thing.
Anyway, I imagine that most people who appreciate erotic art realize that there is a time and place for it, just like everything else. I don't think that having an erotic image on the bottom of a skateboard that actually won't be seen by that many people is really that big of a deal though. And I think the fact that people think it is, is a bigger problem.

Inherently a risky and delicate thing, what? There are almost 8 billion people on this planet all because of sex, it one of the most powerful driving forces and motivations for the human species. I'm against people setting limitations based on morality, because morality exist in a conceptual gray area that varies greatly from community to community. A long as it involves consenting adults, there should be no limitations on sexual behavior/expression.

I know part of the problem with the original is simply it is old and the artwork is at a much lower resolution then is common today. Also, if I remember correctly there are some programming issues to get it to work right on modern computers. Which since, it is highly likely the original files to make the game are long gone, would be kind of a nightmare.
My other guess would be licensing cost. This is getting pretty niche and if they wanted to much to license the game, it could very well not be worth it, even if the game sold very well for VN.

Kinda of, sort of, is. The world is slowly going digital, if for nothing else, to save the trees. Since the Amazon Kindle is not an open system, buying from other digital vendors is much harder. Your books will not show up in the Kindle's Library, but rather are in a folder, much like the one on your computer. Fakku's books are in some folder, which I am going to have to look for, since I don't remember the pathway.
You don't need to burn books any more. You just need to not make them available any more.

There was a PC re-release as recently as 2014, so it runs fine on modern computers. And the mobile versions came out in 2015. As for the resolution, there are still VN being released in English that have the same resolution as Fate.
