True, Gainax is known to give out crap-quality masters. But beyond that, given some of the history that Manga has with screwing up the video (Perfect Blue, the original Castle of Cagliostro, and the non-renewal version of The End of Evangelion all come to mind), I'm not going to put it past them to make something worse than it already is.

The original Cagliostro transfer had nothing to do with Manga, since there wasn't even a Japanese dvd of the film at the time Manga put out their version. And Chris gave PB's video an A-. As for the non-renewal version of EoE, that point is moot, now that it's been established that it's really not the "end" of the series. Rolling Eyes

Twisting a movie around to make it letterboxed ain't exactly what I'd call "nothing to do with Manga."
